Away from the bustling city of Adelaide, visitors can escape the city for a relaxing morning connecting with nature during a guided bushwalk and waterfall hike in Cleland Conservation Park to the Mount Lofty Summit. Connect with local experts and enjoy a short, scenic drive to the trailhead of Adelaide’s most popular hike, arriving at 8.30 am.
As you commence the conservation trail, hikers will be able to detect the first distinct scents of Eucalyptus trees, whistling native birdlife, sleepy koalas high in the gum trees and the serene sounds of the spectacular First Falls waterfall. Gathering momentum, the trail ascends towards the summit offering glimpses of the city skyline, parklands and Adelaide Oval across the plains.
Reaching the Mount Lofty Summit, take a moment to enjoy the fresh air and magnificent views and learn some interesting facts and history. The Summit Café is a great place to order a coffee or morning tea and re-energise before concluding the walk back down to Waterfall Gully.
